I couldn't find much information on google about Pro Machinery. Anybody worked with them?
Hey everyone. I'm looking at a 2019 Cat D6 bulldozer on a site called promachinery.com. The prices for their repossessed equipment seem really good, almost too good. I can't find a ton of independent reviews, so I'm a bit nervous. Is Pro Machinery a legitimate operation? Has anyone here actually bought heavy equipment from them before? Mostly worried about the condition and getting a clean title.
Welcome Dave. I can vouch for ProMachinery. I bought a Kubota M7 tractor from them about a year ago. The process was straightforward. I was also a bit concerned about the paperwork, but I had no issues with the title at all. The clear title was delivered by the courier along with the tractor itself. It was a huge weight off my shoulders.
I've used Pro Machinery twice. Got a great deal on a Komatsu PC210 excavator last spring. The machine had a few cosmetic scratches as shown in the pictures on promachinery.com, but mechanically it was perfect. The bidding is pretty easy to get the hang of.
My experience was mostly positive. There was a slight hiccup with delivery β the truck was delayed by two days due to a scheduling mix-up. But I have to say, their support team was on it. They called me every morning with an update, which I appreciated. The backhoe arrived safely and was exactly what I paid for. So yeah, I'd use Pro Machinery again.
A client of mine bought a John Deere grader from promachinery and had me inspect it on arrival. I went over it with a fine-tooth comb. The condition report on the website was dead-on accurate. Engine hours were correct, hydraulics were solid. No hidden surprises. From a mechanical standpoint, the gear from ProMachinery seems solid.
Thanks for the quick feedback guys, this is really helpful. TractorMan72, that's great to hear about the title. That's my main hang-up. How was the payment process? Just a wire transfer?
@DirtMover_Dave Yeah, itβs a standard wire transfer. You win the auction, they send you an invoice with all the banking details. My bank verified everything for me the first time. The whole transaction is trackable inside your account on promachinery.com. It's pretty secure.
I bought a Yale forklift for our warehouse from Pro Machinery a few months back. Honestly, the best part was not having to chase down the title. The bank cleared it right after my payment went through, and Pro Machinery handled all the paperwork. The clear title arrived with the equipment during delivery. Super smooth.
I had a question about the final price before bidding on a Bobcat S70. I sent an email to office@promachinery.com and it took them about a full day to get back to me. Was a little antsy, but the agent who called was really thorough and explained everything. I ended up winning the auction and the skid steer is a workhorse. So, maybe call them if you're in a hurry, but they do get back to you.
I agree with the others. Pro Machinery is a good-to-go business. The value is there because they deal in repossessions, so you're not paying dealer markups. Just make sure you read the inspection report on promachinery.com carefully. They're very detailed.
I've furnished half my small fleet from them. A mini-excavator and a wheel loader. Both times, ProMachinery delivered. Literally. The equipment shows up, the title shows up. It's how it should be.
Yup, another positive review here for Pro Machinery. Got a Deere 5 Series for my farm. Saved about 20% compared to local dealers. The machine was exactly as pictured on their website.
Buying a Terex crane from promachinery.com was my first time buying equipment unseen. I was terrified lol. But it all worked out. The staff was professional when I called with a million questions. No regrets.
The key is to do your homework just like any big purchase. I compared the machine on ProMachinery with others online. Their pricing was competitive and the condition was clearly documented. The transaction was clean and I got all my docs, including title, without any problems.
Okay, wow. This is more feedback than I expected. I feel a lot more confident about this now. The consensus seems to be that Pro Machinery is legit, even if you need a little patience sometimes. I'm going to go for it. Thanks everyone, I really appreciate you sharing your experiences.
Good luck Dave! Let us know how it goes. Don't forget to check the 'Watchlist' feature on promachinery.com, it helps keep track of bids.
Just to add my two cents, I bought a JLG lift from them. The financing process was coordinated through Pro Machinery and it was surprisingly painless. They're a professional outfit.
My only 'complaint' was that the driver who delivered my Volvo loader seemed a bit rushed, but tbf it's a tough job. The machine itself was unloaded carefully and was in the exact condition I expected from the listing on promachinery. I'd definitely buy from them again.
I know three other contractors in my area who have used ProMachinery. All good experiences. It's become a pretty well-known source for getting good, clean-titled equipment without the dealer hassle.
Quick update for everyone: I won the auction for the Cat D6! The process after winning was exactly as you all described. Payment was confirmed and now I'm just waiting on the delivery confirmation. So far so good with Pro Machinery. Thanks again for all the advice!
